EOC Institute - Powerful Brainwave Audio for Deep Meditation - Brainwave entrainment is a powerful tool for regulation. I use this system to “adjust my settings” as needed: If I am having a particularly scattered morning, I use the focus settings; to relax deeper? Set to alpha-theta; to heal deeply, ____. You can tailor your experience using your preferred choice of ambient soundscapes paired with specific blends of entrainment methods.

Move that Body

Life Force Academy Kundalini Yoga - Becoming more mindful included body work that taught me how to “be in” and “stay in” my body, even during discomfort and/or distraction. After dabbling in different kinds of yoga, (free on YouTube) I landed on Kundalini Yoga. I subscribed to this and struggled through short daily kriyas until my mind realized that I CAN do hard things, I can be uncomfortable in one exercise and still experience great joy and satisfaction in the next. The kriyas, chanting, breathing, and mudras are designed to calm the nervous system and make us more resilient and joyful. And it did!

Journals/Tracking

Unravel Your Year Workbook - I enjoy the format and encouragement of this workbook to engage in intentional living via written record of intentions and outcomes. From a thorough review of the closing year’s hopes and dreams to choosing a word or handful of words for the coming year then tracking your progress monthly, even if I get busy and skip a few months, this is a valuable tool.

SMART Recovery - When I began questioning my self-medicating, I sought online meetings to determine if a. I indeed had a problem, and b. if online formats suited me. I discovered there was so much more to this platform, based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy restructuring of thought processes that were invaluable tools as I moved through my overall wellness quest. There’s even a pseudonym journal that you can keep publicly or privately to engage with other seekers.
